What is Rise Up! Waco?
Rise Up! Waco is an annual dinner benefitting Talitha Koum’s comprehensive program of brain development for children birth to five, weekly parenting meetings, and a mentoring program “from Kindergarten to College or Career.” Our 2020 event features an online address by our guest speakers, Mark Victor Hansen, co-creator of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series and his wife Crystal Dwyer Hansen, certified business coach, author and wellness expert.
We are sad not to look out on 55 tables of faithful souls gathered to celebrate Talitha Koum’s 17 years of care for the mental health of trauma-affected infants and toddlers. But there’s always 2021, and we will live in hope until then!
When is this event?
It is NOW, and it is online! Participate in our virtual auction until Tuesday, May 5. And help us Meet the Match by May 15 when Roy Daily is ready to write his $10,000 check. What is the cost of the event?
This year, nothing at all, and certainly not a new dress! It’s the season’s best “come as. you are.” Ordinarily, General Seating Tickets are $125 and a Table of 10 is $1,250.
Our in-person Rise Up! Waco event includes a fine dining meal accompanied by your choice of wine, a message from our guest speaker, a live and lively auction, and a first-drawn/first-pick raffle. All proceeds go to benefit Talitha Koum’s brain development program for trauma-affected children.
How do I purchase tickets or sponsor this event in 2021?
We’ll keep you posted! Our 2021 event will be planned again for the month of April.
