Rise Up! Waco is now an online event.
JOIN US HERE THROUGH MAY 31, 2020 TO HEAR INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGES AND HELP TALITHA KOUM MEET THE MATCH.
Expect greatness. Give it your all.
How do you improve outcomes for children from challenging circumstances? You begin at birth, hold them tight until they enter public school, and infuse every day with the best practices in early brain development. Since 2003, Talitha Koum has provided nurturing care alongside each unfolding advance offered by neuroscience – even now in these sheltering times. Our clinical practice has one very serious goal: To send children to public school able to self-regulate and ready to learn. Hear in this video how our Executive Director Susan Cowley describes it. She wants to warn you: it was a very emotional day!

Meet our Graduate of the Year!
Everyone asks! Do you have high school graduates yet? When Talitha Koum opened in 2003, we enrolled four infants and 12 toddlers. Those toddlers have begun to graduate and five out of the seven are in college (two on scholarships), often first in their family to achieve that goal.
It is a privilege this year to introduce you to Jamaria Diserens. She would have spoken to you in person at Rise Up! Waco, but since that will not be possible, she agreed to a filmed interview. Jamaria is candid about her early life traumas. While it is not easy to hear, we hope you will take heart in her courage and joy in her future plans.

Your Speakers. "Live" from California
Wish they were here! Wish we were all together around 55 tables. But how lovely of the Hansens to send us these inspiring remarks. Mark Victor Hansen is co-creator of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, to date having sold more than 500 million books in 40 languages. “The Ambassador of Possibility” and his wife Crystal Dwyer Hansen are both top inspirational speakers leading others to change the world. Their new book, "Ask," explains how asking becomes the bridge from your dreams to your destiny. They hope you’ll help Talitha Koum bring change to Waco’s trauma-affected children!

With your help, we can Meet the Match by May 31, 2020.
Talitha Koum’s funding–74% of it–comes from individuals. If a portion of those gifts are monthly, there is a certainty of cash flow. Right now is the perfect time to divide up a year’s worth of giving, become a monthly donor, and sustain our children’s future. No need to send a check each month. Take this one-and-done action that keeps on giving. Roy Daily hopes you will. Watch his video here and learn why he is providing a $10,000 match grant for this specific purpose Learn here how the match can be met by new donors, current monthly donors and others who have recently given.

Bids for Brains
Many thanks to our bidders and auction winners and to those of you who made donations rather than bids! You have helped Talitha Koum continue our brain development program for trauma-affected children in a way that brings hope for our future together with families whose stress is greater now than ever.
